# Bayram Ali Basgul

## In one line

A product engineer who has run live subscription, commerce and consent systems,
and who builds agents on one rule: the model chooses, code computes. He does not
train or fine-tune models.

## The opinion he will defend

A control enforced by instruction eventually gets bypassed, so put the guarantee
where there is no code path around it. Global Privacy Control means tracking never
starts, so there is nothing to clean up afterwards. The same rule governs his agent
work: in the load planner below, a constraint solver is the only source of numeric
truth and the model chooses and narrates; it never decides a number.

## Work for employers and his own companies

Not public code; described as it is on his CV.

- **Sun Basket and Gobble (since 2021).** The CCPA/CPRA consent layer for both
  brands: OneTrust as the one consent source for Segment across a React SPA, a
  legacy JSP app and WordPress, with Google Consent Mode and Global Privacy Control,
  Gobble on opt-in. A server-side event pipeline behind a first-party proxy, so no
  third-party pixels or cookies reach the browser before consent. A redesigned join
  flow shipped as a controlled experiment on a 100K+ subscriber platform: 8.5%
  higher conversion than control (internal result). Observable today: sunbasket.com
  serves its consent layer through OneTrust (`otSDKStub`, cookielaw.org) in the
  page source, checked 17 October 2026.
- **buketi.mk (since 2025).** Technical co-founder of a same-day flower delivery
  marketplace on Medusa 2 with 50+ compensable workflows. Built the money path:
  Halkbank 3-D Secure, and a bank-driven completion where a paid cart always becomes
  an order, covered by 25 integration cases on real Postgres.
- **Ministry of Digital Transformation, North Macedonia (Aug 2023 – May 2024).**
  ICT Advisor to the Minister: the National ICT Strategy 2023–2030, EU TESTA network
  integration, and the government document-management system. Represented North
  Macedonia at UN headquarters in the national delegation to the OEWG Chair's Global
  Roundtable on ICT Security Capacity-Building (May 2024).
- **Earlier.** Sole senior engineer on two fintech products at Producement; device
  backend and an H.265 decoder ported to WebAssembly (2019) at March Networks;
  partner and procurement platforms on .NET MVC at Makedonski Telekom (Deutsche
  Telekom Group); an analytics platform inferring personality and sentiment from
  text at Symanto.

## On evaluation

The harness came after months of tuning prompts by feel proved half the tricks did
nothing measurable. Model version and temperature pinned, run N times, read the
distribution: pass@1 for first-try experience, pass^k where every run has to
succeed, which is the bar for anything that dispatches a courier or prices an
order. Agents scored on the trajectory rather than the final answer: which tools,
in what order, with what in context. Where an exact value cannot be asserted, a
relation is: paraphrase the request and the numeric decision must not move. A model
grades only the irreducible remainder, and only while its agreement with a
human-labelled set holds.
